About

The grind made me a coach.

I'm Arman Farhad, a high school freshman who plays JV at a Division 2 school. One summer ago, I was averaging less than a point a game. I wasn't a starter. I wasn't even a real rotation guy.

I spent the summer before freshman year putting in shots, working on handles, and learning how to actually play the game. By the end of my freshman season I was averaging 10 points a game — up from less than one — and won the Most Improved Player award on my JV team.

Now I coach kids younger than me — kids who are where I was. I teach the workouts, the form, and the mentality that took me from the end of the bench to the box score.
